BTS member Jungkook who is 23 years old is just like every other young adult who has a lot to learn in life. Well, the handsome singer recently said that his life has changed thanks to pandemic and COVID-19. Jungkook believes he has grown a lot in his life. He is one of the youngest members of BTS and debuted in the group in 2013 at the age of 15. Jungkook is an interview shared that he missed out on many ordinary experiences people his age had.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jungkook said “It’s true I couldn’t spend a lot of days at school, but I think I gained more than I lost,” Jungkook said. “I sometimes felt envious of all my friends hanging out or going on a trip. Maybe those are the things that I missed. But again, I think I gained more than I’ve lost.” He said that the other BTS members had a lot of influence on him and he felt comfortable with them. Moreover, they even encouraged Jungkook and motivated him to do better in life.
In this pandemic, Jungkook went through more self-discovery phases and learned new things. Did you know he learned to make pizza? “Just because we didn’t have a lot of work compared to before, or just because we couldn’t go outside, it really didn’t mean we had an ordinary life,” Jungkook said. “We still had to be cautious of our behavior. And just because we couldn’t go on tours, it didn’t mean we could stop improving.”
Jungkook credited Ariana Grande for helping him and he even revealed that he looks up to her. “I was really impressed by her stage presence,” he shared. “She’s a very small person, and the volume of her singing and what she was able to do was really moving, really impressive. And it just seemed like something I wanted to emulate and learn from. It made me want to develop and continue to grow.”
