It wasn’t just Easter celebration on Sunday night, 4th April, as the best actors across movies, television and OTT platforms were honoured at the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) for their work last year. A 1-hour, pre-taped version of the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards was simultaneously broadcast on TNT and TBS sans a host to commemorate the best performance in the acting categories of films, TV shows and web series from 2020. For the uninitiated, the SAG Awards only bestows their trophies in the acting category as the name suggests. Viola Davis, the late Chadwick Boseman, the popular Netflix show, The Crown, were among some of the big winners of the night.
