ARMY trends ‘Free BTS’ after Good Morning America host did not talk much about BTS – view Twitter reactions
The popular South Korean pop band BTS appeared on Good Morning America earlier this morning to perform Butter and Dynamite song. ARMYs went gaga over BTS boys’ exceptional performance and killer looks. Within no time, ARMYs excitement turned into anger when the Good Morning America hosts talked about the culture of K-Pop instead of focusing on BTS. Moreover, ARMYs got upset due to the choice of words that were being used in the show.
The segment started by introducing how BTS’s music is uniting fans all over the world. But host T. J. Holmes instead introduced everyone to the K-Pop industry and showed the clips of SuperM, TWICE, aespa, and others. This act left ARMY annoyed and agitated. They lost their cool as instead of talking about BTS’s journey, they shared why K-Pop, in general, is popular. The host called BTS ‘new to the scene’ and ARMY got upset with the mistreatment that BTS received. Within no time, ARMY started trending Free BTS on twitter and voiced their opinion on the same. Here’s how the netizens reacted to all of this.
Take a look at the tweets…
FREE BTS FROM THIS INDUSTRY THAT CANT SEE THEM AS THEIR OWN MUSICIANS

Free BTS from kpop. They are their own person. You don’t mention the whole american music industry when you mention an American artist on TV.I am so tired and the tannies deserve better. They deserve to be appreciated individually as artists, not be used to push the whole industry

This is like talking about Taylor Swift and put other artist along her photo….
This is very disrespectful….. #FreeBTS #freebtsfromkpop pic.twitter.com/32jJTvPQEw— Taehyung WIFFY (@TaehyungWIFFY1) May 28, 2021
GMA literally invited BTS and then talked about K-pop’s popularity and appeal?? Would they have given an introduction of the American music industry as a whole had they invited an American artist ? They’re individual artists UGH #FreeBTS

Well, this is not the first time Good Morning America was criticized for its choice of words. Once, they even called Minari actress Youn Yuh Jung a breakout star.
